Opioids

Opioid pharmacology, overdose management, Opioid Substitution Therapy (OST) including Buprenorphine and Methadone Maintenance Treatment.

ATS

Amphetamine-type stimulants: methamphetamine and MDMA pharmacology, patterns of use, psychiatric complications, and evidence-based management of ATS use disorder.

Benzo

Benzodiazepine pharmacology, dependence and withdrawal management, safe tapering protocols, and managing co-prescribed sedative use.

Stimulants

Cocaine pharmacology, acute intoxication and overdose management, cardiovascular complications, and evidence-based treatment approaches.

Gambling

Pathological gambling: diagnostic criteria, screening tools, cognitive-behavioural interventions, and management of comorbid substance use.

Gaming

Internet gaming disorder: diagnostic criteria, assessment in adolescents and young adults, and evidence-based psychosocial interventions.

Weekly ECHO Case Discussion

This course is designed for psychiatrists, residents in psychiatry, and medical doctors working in the field of Addictive disorders

The focus is on weekly discussions of complex, addictive cases. The didactic will be very brief or in QA format

If you have completed the Primer on Alcohol Use Disorder or Primer on Addiction Pharmacology or the Foundation ECHO certificate course before, you will get a personal invitation to join this course.

This will be decided by NIMHANS. The likely fees for this 24-week course will be around 5000 INR.
