Responsible & Ethical Use of Generative AI in Academics

Artificial Intelligence (AI), especially Generative AI (Gen AI), is transforming education and learning. Tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Canva AI, and other AI-powered platforms can support learning, improve communication, and help healthcare professionals understand complex concepts.

At NIMHANS Digital Academy, learners are encouraged to use AI responsibly, ethically, and transparently as an assistance tool — not as a replacement for original thinking, clinical judgment, or analytical ability.

This guidance has been prepared after reviewing educational and academic AI policies from universities and publication platforms, as well as practical experience with AI tools in healthcare education.
