PRATHAM is a specialized 8-week training program designed for hepatologists worldwide to enhance their competencies in managing Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD) in patients with liver disease.

Why PRATHAM?

Alcohol Use Disorder is a critical comorbidity in patients with liver disease. Hepatologists are uniquely positioned to identify, intervene, and manage AUD in their patients. PRATHAM equips hepatologists with evidence-based tools and techniques for comprehensive AUD management.

Learning Objectives

On completion of PRATHAM, participants will be able to:

  1. Screen and evaluate persons with Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD)
  2. Identify and manage Alcohol Withdrawal Syndrome
  3. Select appropriate pharmacological agents for long-term treatment in persons with AUD
  4. Deliver brief psychological interventions for persons with AUD

Completion Certificate Criteria

To receive the Certificate of Completion, participants must fulfill ALL of the following:

  1. Pre and Post Assessment: Complete both assessments
  2. Attendance: Presence in 6 out of 8 tele-ECHO clinic Zoom sessions
  3. Case Discussion: One case discussion during tele-ECHO clinic (Case Record Form submission)
  4. E-Assignment: Score >75% (Available May 15 for 48 hours)

Important: Cases to be presented in Live TELE-ECHO sessions should be submitted at least one week prior to the desired date of presentation using the prescribed Case Record Form.
