National Alliance for Mental Health Assistance for Healthcare Providers
At the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- Discuss the factors that are known to impact mental wellness among healthcare professionals
- Recognize and implement strategies that help build personal and professional resilience
- Identify and incorporate key skills into practice to cope with personal and professional-related challenges and enhance joy and meaning
- Incorporate self-awareness and self-monitoring in daily practice
- Identify and provide initial support for common mental health concerns (depression, anxiety, and substance use) among healthcare professionals
- Demonstrate skills in providing peer support and appropriate referral pathways for healthcare professionals in distress

Who Can Apply
Faculty of medical colleges and consultants who have completed:
- MBBS
- MD/MS/DNB
Certificate Requirements
- 75% attendance (9/12 sessions minimum)
- 60 minutes video presence per session
- One case scenario submission & presentation
- Complete two assignments (75% score)
- Complete pre-test and post-test

NAMAH 1.0 Pilot Study Results
A pilot study with 32 physicians showed significant improvements:
- Psychological Distress: Significant reduction in K10 scores (Cohen's d = 0.41)
- Emotional Exhaustion: Medium effect size improvement (Cohen's d = 0.65)
- Depersonalization: Large effect size improvement (Cohen's d = 0.94)
Research shows that teaching physicians about awareness and low-intensity interventions significantly helps in handling stress and improving emotional well-being.
